One of the things my Mom is SO great at is creating gift baskets. She even helped her best friend with her basket business way back in the day. She always knew the best tricks to making them look beautiful and full of great goodies. So when Lavazza asked me to put together the perfect coffee holiday basket, I knew I was up for a serious challenge. It would be one that Mom would need to approve of first and foremost.
A good gift basket should be ready to pull apart and use right away. So when thinking about building this coffee themed one I knew I wanted there to be a few essentials. When shopping for gifts for coffee lovers, I like to think of the whole experience. Things I wanted to include are sweet treats, salty with the chocolate covered pretzels, and of course have a little booze. This is to help get any party off on the right foot. Here’s what’s in my simple coffee themed holiday gift basket perfect to gift to your friends, family, boss, concierge, hairdresser, whoever.
HOW TO MAKE A GIFT BASKET FOR THE COFFEE LOVER
A perfect vessel like this World Market wire basket
Fill – I used a mix of tissue paper and shredded paper
Coffee – I’m using Lavazza Gran Selezione dark roast (I’ve been drinking this for my morning cup of Joe lately, love it!)
Sweet treats – Amaretto cookies, chocolate covered pretzels and peppermint sticks. If you want to go really crazy, maybe include a homemade banana chocolate loaf.
Liquor – For the perfect spiked coffee I always recommend Bailey’s (please drink responsibly friends!)
Coffee Mugs – These cable knit mugs are perfect for the season
Throw it all together with a little ribbon and a card and you’ve got the easiest gift to give this season for any coffee lover on your list.
