Ever fall into a weekend rut of visiting the same places? My friends and I were on a pretty consistent weekend kick of heading to Inman Park to visit New Realm Brewery, then walk the Beltline to Ladybird or Krog Street Market. I don’t hate the habit, especially now that New Realm added a rosé inspired beer that’s to die for. It’s a nice departure from all their fairly hoppy beers. A few of my favorite things on their food menu, if you do get hungry, are their shishito peppers and poké bowl. Two unexpected things to order at a brewery but they’re seriously delicious.
The rooftop bar has such a great view of the city and is usually packed with folks on the weekend. A big plus are all the dogs outside to pet and say hello to. My favorite part to be honest. No dogs are allowed on the roof though sadly. I still recommend making your way up there for the views and snapping a skyline and beer photo. Seems to be the thing to do as you can watch dozens of folks grab a fresh beer and head to this corner for the perfect photo opp.
Atlanta’s Beltline has quickly transformed this city and I am not mad about it. If you’re in the area and looking to spend a day exploring, I highly recommend recreating our usual Saturdays. Head to Ponce City Market which is a great place to park and start if you’re not from the area. Then walk your way all the way down the Beltline. You’ll hit tons of great spots and can veer off to Inman Park for lunch or dinner, or hang out at Krog Street for dinner at Bar Mercado and dessert at Jeni’s Ice Cream. Seriously my favorite way to spend a weekend with friends. You can check out my full Atlanta guide on the best neighborhoods to hang out in, restaurants and experiences right here.
