One of the things I’ve been adding more to my closet lately are wide-leg jeans. From these cute LOFT ones, and these Everlane crops, clearly I’m into this trend. These Ann Taylor wide leg crops are just as great and may I add, more comfortable! They have quite a bit more stretch in them (which means, size down if you’re in between because they give a bit!) but it makes them super comfortable.
Since these are quickly becoming my go-to pants to wear, I wanted to share these wide-leg jeans and how to style them easily 3 different ways. From business casual for the office to happy hour with friends, and even into the weekend. Plus, they also come in black which I’m SO obsessed with. I’ve already styled them here. If you need something dressier, they do come in a similar style in a suiting material for a more conservative 9-5 look.
3 Tips To Styling Wide-Leg Crop Jeans
If you’re tall, you probably don’t need to do this. But at 5’5″ and having shorter legs, adding a heel helps to elongate my leg that much more. I love these nude wavy suede heels. They go with everything and are super comfortable. This helps to balance out the cropped length and gives a longer visual.
Tuck Your Shirt In
Having a defined waist helps big time with making your body look more balanced when wearing wide leg crops. Just simply tucking your shirt in will make a huge difference in balancing you out and creating a slimming effect.
Choose Tailored Tops
I typically prefer a fitted tee tucked into wide leg crop jeans, but since all of these looks are more dressy, I went with blouses. With that in mind, I still kept more slimming tailored tops in mind. Ones that aren’t too blousy or voluminous. I want to keep balance in mind and with the wide leg at the bottom, you want to keep things more fitted up top. You can also cinch everything in by adding a blazer like I did for the happy hour look below.

For Business Casual
To take these jeans to my co-work space, a meeting, or to a more casual 9-5, just add a pretty button down blouse and heels. I love this blue floral print blouse for spring. It’s a nice update to a regular old button down. A nude heel allows you to look tall and lean!

For Happy Hour
For a dressier look that’s perfect for happy hour or business dinners, is this black and white combination. A silky black camisole topped with a white blazer is always a flattering combination. Plus, these black knot block heels are adorable and beyond comfortable.

For The Weekend
There’s really so much you can do for the weekend. I went with a casual yellow top and comfortable slides with a low heel. The yellow on yellow is a fun combination for spring too. I have a feeling this color will be a popular one this spring and summer. You could also wear a simple tee too instead of a pretty top like this.
