I’m on a mission to find all the best lounge pieces to style in multiple ways. Ways that make me feel put together and stylish but still comfortable. Basically, everything needs to be couch nap approved but also able to head to grab lunch or run an errand. It’s the new criteria thanks to COVID. Many of us are working from home now and want to feel put together in an outfit but still comfortable. That in-between of leggings and work pants but aren’t jeans. I hear you and I am on the hunt!
I’m a big fan of a jogger. They’re kind of pajamas, but not. To me, they’re really a style you can wear out and about and feel much more confident in than leggings. There’s no need to stress on how long your shirt is to cover your butt as you do in leggings. At least, I wish more people would worry about that, but you do you.
How To Wear Joggers Multiple Ways
Joggers are going to be your answer to pants for fall. You can style them so many ways from edgy, to casual, to comfy and cozy. Whatever you would usually wear with your jeans you can almost always wear with your joggers. From lightweight layers like utility jackets, denim jackets and cardigans. To cozy sweaters and graphic tees too.
When it comes to your shoes though, I almost always prefer a sneaker for joggers. They just don’t pair well with a mule or ballet flat. I will say, as we’re in that in-between season and weather right now, a sandal like the popular Arizona Birkenstocks or Freedom Moses’ are a good choice too. And as we head farther into fall, I think an ankle bootie can definitely work with joggers when done right. Just make sure it reflects the outfit and the vibe. Don’t need a high heeled fancy bootie to pair with joggers. I’d opt for something more casual and maybe a low heel or flat boot.
4 Outfits With Joggers
Here are a few of my personal favorite ways to style joggers for fall. From graphic tees, to cozy knit cardigans and leather jackets, these are easy to recreate casual outfits with joggers. There’s something for everyone here. Also, the ones I’m wearing a much more casual fabric. They’re a cotton blend and definitely more casual.
Joggers can also be found in a silkier fabric that feels more high quality that you can even dress up a bit. I have a few tips below on how to do just that. As with anything, the fabric always plays a role in the direction you can style something so keep that in mind when shopping and styling your new joggers.
Graphic Tee + Denim Jacket With Joggers
A standard combination I never get tired of. Denim jacket, graphic tee and Converse. It goes with all the things and just works including these comfy joggers. Never have to worry about it. I also love the platform Converse with the joggers for an edgier look too. Personally I am almost always choosing these over my classic Chucks.

Cozy Fall Layers With Joggers
I’ll be honest, this is my least favorite but only because it doesn’t feel “like me”. It works, but it’s just not entirely my everyday style. I always feel so bulky in a long cardigan. But I think it’s a great option for fall with a heavier knit. A simple cotton tee with your favorite cardigan is a great pairing with joggers. Just add a great sneaker like these Everlane ones to complete the look.

Edgy Leather Jacket + Leopard Sneakers With Joggers
My beloved leather jacket is a piece I grab all the time so it’s no secret I’d pair it with joggers. A white tee and leopard sneakers makes this feel cool and stylish. Any sneaker would go with this like an all white one, or even a black leather pair of Vejas.

Suede Moto Jacket + Sneakers
These Lou & Grey jogger pants have become an absolute favorite. So insanely comfortable and soft. They’re also a heavier knit than the black joggers I’ve featured above. I’ve been wearing these everywhere for a day to day look that’s easy and effortless. Just simply pairing these Lou & Grey joggers with a suede moto jacket, white tee and classic Reebok sneakers creates a cool street style look. You can even dress thsi up a tad more and swap the tee for a white button down shirt to make it feel even more put together while staying totally comfortable!

3 Tips To Dress Up Your Joggers
To help get you inspired to feel a little more put together and dressy to tackle Zoom meetings and still be comfortable, here are a few tips to dress up your joggers. I think this work only if you balance it properly AND have a more substantial jogger. Ones that are more fitted, in a silkier nicer fabric, or even just a heavier knit.
Add A Bootie Or Heel
Pair your joggers with a bootie or heel to dress them up a bit more than with a sneaker. This instantly makes them feel less casual than just throwing on a sneaker.
Add A Blazer
I love how Kendi of Kendi Eveyday paired her joggers with a moto inspired blazer. It’s the ideal casual Friday look to work from home in.
Try A Nice Blouse
You can totally swap your white or graphic tee for a nicer blouse to dress up your joggers a bit more. Try a silky button-down, or even a nice sweater paired with a pretty mule.
