Jessica’s Favorite Amazon Things Volume 8
I have been shopping quite a bit at Amazon for essential home items. Lots of little decor pieces, a new light in my office and more. Also grabbed a new pair of sunnies that are super trendy, and some kitchen gadgets I am shockingly loving.
I love doing these roundups of some favorites because I find Amazon to be a smidge overwhelming. So many things to shop. Hopefully this will help you narrow things down as I have bought a few favorite things lately.

Egg Slicer
I’m a big fan of egg salad and my mom makes the BEST there ever was. Period. And the thing that makes it so great? Perfectly cubed egg. And the only way to do it is with an egg slicer. I finally decided to invest in one. At around $12, it’s a single use kitchen gadget I’m willing to keep around.
Salad Spinner
I have always wanted a salad spinner but thought they were just way too big and took up too much space. I saw this “herb” spinner and thought it could work. It’s basically a single-girls salad spinner. Just enough for a small head of romaine. Perfectly washed and dried lettuce every time.
Rat Lamp
I can’t take credit for this find. My friend Katelyn @katelynsailor shared this cutie little rat lamp and I had to have it. I feel like it is just meant for a NYC apartment.
Retro Sunglasses
I’ve been seeing all of the Gen Z-ers wear this style of sunnies and I had to jump on the trend. I of course didn’t want to spend a ton on something super trendy, so Amazon for the win. I got so many compliments on these too when I wore them and are a fun and affordable way to try a trend out.
Filing Box
My New York City apartment doesn’t have a proper filing cabinet or office storage just yet. So this filing box is a very boring but necessary purchase. It does the job, not a whole lot to write home about, but I was thrilled to finally have a place to store my folders full of receipts and tax stuff.
Tall Black Vase
My entryway was in need of a tall vase to hold my faux cherry blossom branches. This one is really cute and modern. I think it would be nice on a dining table, entry table, or styled on a credenza.
Slippers
I am officially done with Ugg slippers. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Ugg blanket, but the slippers have changed. They are not lasting beyond 6 months, the quality has drastically changed. So Amazon slippers are now my thing. These Dearfoams Fireside slippers are perfect, comfortable and cozy. And so far, they are lasting longer than the Uggs.
Rug Grippers
With a long hallway and two runners, my rugs were moving all around. These rug gripper stickers are the perfect solution to keeping the corners down on your rugs. They claim to be reusable, but I have yet to attempt.
AirFly Bluetooth Connector
I purchased this last minute before heading out to Europe on a long haul flight. This smart little device plugs into the TV in front of you on the airplane and allows you to use your Bluetooth headphones while enjoying the in-flight entertainment.
