Jessica’s Favorite Amazon Things Volume 5
Lately, I’ve been finding myself doing more fashion shopping at Amazon. Not usually my go-to, but with Shopbop and some of my favorite brands like Sam Edelman and Steve Madden, it just requires some good filtering!
The best find may be the silver heels that are becoming my entire personality for fall. More on that below.
I also picked up a mandoline and I can not stop finding excuses to use it. And found a great unflavored protein powder among a few other things.

Jessica’s Favorite Amazon Things Volume 4
Mandoline
I’ve been wanting one of these forever and I want to say I had a big bulky one years ago and hated it. This is a smaller handheld version and fits nicely in a drawer.
A mandoline is a total game changer when it comes to slicing cucumbers, zucchini, and even shredding cabbage and lettuce. I am obsessed with this and find myself using it for cucumbers all the time. I make cucumber salad with onions and lots of vinegar.
Don’t forget to also get this metal glove when doing a lot on the mandoline. They are VERY sharp and you can easily lose a fingertip.
Slip Maxi Skirt
Wasn’t sure how I felt about the slip maxi skirt trend. I always see them in black which is just not my favorite. And honestly, feels a bit Duggar family-esque. I saw this brown one and just knew I had to have it.
I went with a medium and it’s a smidge big. However, without any elastic on the waist, I’d rather it be a bit big than a bit too tight.
Korean Chewy Sweet and Sour Candy
My friend shared these with me at a movie one day and I immediately ordered. I inhaled the two bags in 48 hours. They are addicting. So so good.
Designer-Inspired Gold Drop Earrings
Inspired by my friend Lauren at Lauren Elyce. I saw her wearing these when we went to lunch one day and I ordered them as soon as I got home. They were on sale for $5, but are almost always under $10. They are super lightweight and are Bottega Veneta inspired.
Greek Sandals
I’ve been in need of a good black sandal and these fit the bill. Inspired by Ancient Greek Sandals, these were only $57. They are super comfortable too.
Super Affordable Office Chair
While at this Airbnb in NYC, I spend most of my time sitting at the dining table. It’s where I work (they have a monitor which is PERFECT) and it’s also where I eat. Sadly, the dining chairs are so uncomfy and only have half a back to them.
During my last visit, I sat in such a weird way for 4 weeks that I not only destroyed my back, but also messed up my knee. Not even kidding, I was a mess by the time I left here. So the first order of business when I arrived was to order an office chair.
I wanted something cheap and not bulky. I found this office chair for only $60 and honestly, so damn comfy. And looks pretty great.
Silver Slingback Heels
The shoes I had to have for fall. I’m shocked how versatile a silver shoe is, but also not surprised at the same time once I started to style them.
You can see 5 ways to style silver shoes here. The low kitten heel makes them a totally reasonable high heel to wear everyday.
OXO Pop Containers
You know those giant containers of protein powder? I was so sick of it taking up valuable space in my tiny pantry so I instead transfered it to these OXO Pop containers. What a space saver!
I initially bought the larger containers and quickly realized that protein powder containers are oversized for absolutely no good reason that I can think of. Went with the 1.2 quart which fit an entire container of protein powder.
Protein Powder
I’ve been wanting an unflavored protein powder to use in fruit smoothies and not have to worry about flavors. This one is vegan (I can’t do whey protein so always looking for pea protein options) and I really like it.
LMNT Electrolyte Packets
With the heat in NYC, I’ve been so dehydrated. These electrolyte packets are great and make it easy to pack with you too.
Ribbed Tanks
A recommendation from @my.sister.made.me.buy.it and @courtneygrow. I now have a few of these ribbed tanks. They come in a crop and a normal length. Both are fine to wear with high rise jeans in my opinion as someone with a longer torso. I wear a size medium.
