We’ve officially hit mid August, which means we’re in pre-fall. This means….time to bring out the boots! You see, my favorite part about fall is the pre-fall. Before it gets too cold that I have to wear jeans and a jacket, but it’s warm enough to still have bare legs. This is the time I enjoy most when it comes to getting dressed every morning. I can wear my favorite jean shorts and booties. I get to pull out some of my fall pieces like new shoes I’ve been buying and maybe a new top.
You have to balance it just right though so you don’t look like you’ve gone all in for fall while it’s still hot out. Peep toe booties? Yes. Over-the-knee boots? No. Lightweight long sleeve tops? Yes. Sweaters? No. See what I did there? You get the picture. So break out your favorite booties and start wearing them with dresses and cut-off shorts. It’s the best way to start embracing fall.
Jean Shorts With Booties
This particular combination of wearing jean shorts with booties is a personal favorite for this time of year. Part of the reason is that I’m so hot-blooded and being in shorts is key for me. I get hot easily, and shorts are a guarantee that I’ll not overheat. So this combination is one I lean into hard during that in-between season of summer and fall. Transition outfits from season to season are important too. And this is one you can easily recreate yourself.
