Why I Love The Lake So Much

Back in college I was a part of the wakeboard “team”. It was more of a secret club that no one knew about. A nice Centurion boat, full access to it whenever we wanted and all expenses paid except for gas. It was pretty much the best two Summers of my life. I never did quite learn how to clear the wake (I did do it once but didn’t stick the landing and bailed). Since I graduated, I really haven’t been back on my board at all. I have no rich friends with boats and clearly I am not loaded.  

But something about being near a lake, on a lake, talking about a lake, just makes me happy. It’s truly the one place I’ve discovered where I can honestly relax, not think and just kick back. This pretty lake is near my parent’s house and I just had to stop by for a quick photo shoot with my cousin. She did a fabulous job snapping photos (and learning that my camera is VERY hard to focus full length) but learning.
