You were warned that lilac is my new favorite color. Here we go again with a fun summer eyelet lilac top. I wasn’t so sure about this sort of crop top, but it was super fun and summery so I thought I’d give it a whirl.
Lilac is such a pretty pastel purple that you can wear with a lot of other colors. It’s also not really bright purple and in your face. I honeslty am not even a fan of purple, but lilac? You bet! It’s just how it is.
How I’m Styling This Lilac Top
To style this slightly cropped summer top, I decided to pair it with these GAP high waisted shorts. I think I’m now sold on (sort of) crop tops. I think it’s safe to say I’m super sold on anything lavender. No doubts there!
I think we tend to see a crop top and freak out. But really it’s just not a super long top. Plus, if you’re wearing high waisted bottoms, it’s really not showing any midriff.
And no summer outfit is complete without a great straw bag. And of course, espadrilles. These bow espadrilles are so fun, super high, and really comfy!

More Lilac To Love
I may have my eye on this dress and this coat at the upcoming Nordstrom Sale. This way I can bring this lilac trend into fall easily! This color really is a versatile one that can be worn all year wrong. So long as you’re wearing the right fabrics!
One of my general rules that we should all abide by is to stick to the right fabrics for the season. I would definitely leave this eyelet top in the closet for fall and winter. And instead try a soft purple wool blazers or coats or sweaters for fall and winter.
A few other colors I like to pair with lilac are brown (this is a great brown and lilac outfit for fall), or lilac and green is always pretty. Blues can also work with it. I’m telling you, lilac is a versatile color and I think that’s why I’ve been adding so much more of it to my closet these days.
