Anyone else in a major shopping rut? From it being in between seasons and things slowly rolling out for spring, to just spending so much time at home and not needing to get dressed. Shopping has most definitely not been top of mind for me. But I feel like I got a boost of excitement when these LOFT wide leg crop pants arrived. And I’ve been so excited to style them!
The wide leg crop pant has become a favorite silhouette of mine. I styled these Ann Taylor ones 3 ways here. And then styled the black version here. And another pair here. I mean, I’m kind of obsessed. And these LOFT ones come in a few great fun colors from yellow, red, black and this pretty olive.

The LOFT Pants I’m Loving Right Now
The High Waist Wide Leg Jean Sizing
I do want to touch on the sizing of these. I’ve always found myself in between sizes at LOFT. And almost always found myself cutting the hem of jeans at LOFT and Ann Taylor. Since these are a wide-leg crop with a wide hem, cutting them wasn’t an option to get the perfect length. And after just a few minutes of wear, I noticed they gave in the waist resulting in a bit of a looser fit that I wasn’t thrilled about. I originally ordered the 27 and thought maybe, just maybe a smaller size, or petite, might work.
I’m five foot five and I’d say my legs are a touch on the shorter side. I’m pretty proportionate, and wouldn’t ever say I have a long torso, but I always feel like my legs are a bit short. I decided to order a 26 petite and 26 regular to see which might work since the 27 just were a bit too loose and too long. I really should have ordered a 27 petite to try too. The 26 petite was definitely smaller in the waist than a 26 regular, which is often standard in petite to regular fit. I loved the length of the 26 petite.
I ended up sticking with the 26 regulars, but also now know a 27 petite would’ve been perfect. The waist would be similar to a 26 regular, with a slightly shorter inseam. This is just my friendly reminder to you if you’re finding yourself in-between sizes to test out a petite in the size you’re in, or size down in the regular.
These jeans also come in the modern or curvy fit. There’s tons of sizing options to fit any body type!

How I’m Styling My LOFT High Waist Wide Leg Jean
With this pretty olive hue, I thought it would be fun to pair it with more green! I’m usually not one more monochromatic colored outfits, instead I usually find myself in all black, or all white. But I think this look has me sold on going for some color. Muted colors, obviously. Don’t think you’ll ever see me in an all pink ensemble anytime soon. Mixing the different shades of green feels like I’m ready for spring though. I love the varying shades and they just somehow worked.
This sweater is also a great piece that’s not too thick and heavy. I’m very particular about my sweaters, and I find myself grabbing this knit v-neck sweater the most lately. It’s truly the perfect light spring sweater and comes in the prettiest muted pastels and a classic cream. I’m doing a size small and it’s definitely a bit roomy! Might be picking it up in a few more colors.
And to finish the look, one of my favorite shoe choices for wide leg crop jeans are my platform Converse. They had some height which a wide leg crop in my opinion needs. They’re truly a favorite shoe to grab for almost any look.
