The method is super easy and one that’s great for really any stir-fry. You can swap out the meat for a protein of your choice, add in different veggies and so on. Just having the right ingredients for the stir fry is all you need to really turn any veggie, protein and rice combo into a delicious asian inspired dish.
Healthy Shrimp Fried Rice Recipe
This easy healthy shrimp fried rice recipe will be your new weekday go to for quick and healthy dinners. It’s super easy to whip up and you can easily swap out the protein for whatever you like. I prefer shrimp since they stay in the freezer well and quickly defrost. But you can always use chicken, tofu, beef or pork. Whatever your heart desires!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tsp of sesame oil
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1/4 tsp grated ginger (I sometimes use more but ginger can be overpowering so just be cautious)
- 1 tsp sambal
- 1 cup of shrimp (or any protein you like)
- 6-10 dashes of fish sauce
- 1 cup of Trader Joe’s vegetable fried rice (on regular carb days I do 2 cups of this and no cauliflower rice)
- 1 cup of cauliflower rice (can also use the cauliflower vegetable stir fry as well!)
- Toppings – cilantro, lime wedges, more hot sauce!
- 1 egg (optional)
METHOD
- Heat a large skillet over medium/high heat and heat up your sesame oil
- Add in your
rices , garlic, ginger, fish sauce, oyster sauceand sambal - Saute for a couple minutes
- Push rice to the sides of pan and add in your shrimp. Cook until pink
- Crack one egg into the pan and begin to scramble it. Once it starts to cook begin incorporating your rice into the egg.
- Serve and enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1-2 tsp of sesame oil

- 1 tsp sambal

- 1 cup of shrimp or any protein you like
- 1 cup of Trader Joe’s vegetable fried rice on regular carb days I do 2 cups of this and no cauliflower rice
- 1 cup of cauliflower rice can also use the cauliflower vegetable stir fry as well!
- 1 egg optional
Instructions
