I just chopped off a solid inch or so from my hair this week, and I have to say I feel like a new woman. However, my longer locks were starting to get to the length where I could easily throw it into a low or high messy pony. There’s really nothing I love more than a messy ponytail, to be honest with you. However, now that my ability to do either of the two (high or low) is probably out of the question. I’m going to envy these pretty low ponytail ideas until I’ve got long locks again. From a simple twist like the bottom left (which may actually be my favorite, so simple) to a fancier one with a braid down the middle for a more badass take on the look.
Low Ponytail Ideas That Aren’t Boring
So many easy ideas for a low ponytail. like adding a braid down the middle, or a little twist of hair over the hair tie. You can even go really simple with a big loop and not pull your hair all the way through. Keep your low ponytail messy with lots of teasing and a few loose pieces to keep things interesting yet still super simple. This low ponytail tutorial is one of my favorites along with this braided one I recently shared.
For now though, I’ll be embracing the half top knot instead and finding new ways to reinvent it until I go a little longer. Once it does get long enough for a big ponytail, I think just doing a simple wave to your hair and throwing it in a low pony is also perfection. Just add a little hair around the ponytail and you’ve got a polished look. What other low ponytail ideas have you tried lately for an update to your everyday look?
