We all have that outfit. The uniform you always rely on for when you just need to head out of the house in real pants. The hard pants. You know what I’m talking about. And I’m finding more and more that this combination is my official errands uniform. If you ever see me on Instagram Stories too, you have likely seen me in this pullover sweatshirt more times than I care to admit. It’s a favorite.
My Go To Uniform For Running Errands
A Good Oversized Pullover
My errand uniform seems to always consist of some combination of this. Or just this, always. On repeat. Whether it’s heading to the grocery store, or quickly grabbing a quick dinner at CAVA with a friend on a weeknight, I’m usually grabbing some combination of this look. A good comfy pullover which have quickly taken over my closet thanks to the pandemic, is always a good idea. I have too many to count and recently had to do a purge of them. But this one is the perfect slightly oversized fit which is the best in my opinion.

My Go-To Comfy Denim
As for my bottoms. If I’m putting on hard pants, you bet they’re the most comfortable ones in my closet. There are just a few that I rotate through that meet the criteria. And these Madewell vintage jeans are it. I find myself grabbing them often when I just need to put on the real pants and swap out my leggings or joggers. They make me instantly feel like I put in some effort.
Just Add A Cool Sneaker
Just add a cool sneaker and I’m done. These Madewell Trainers are a favorite. I also have them in a fun color block combo. But the leopard is a personal favorite that I’ve been wearing a ton lately. And that’s my go-to uniform for needing to get dressed, but not really wanting to put in 100% of my effort.
I know this is not a groundbreaking outfit, but this has been a favorite outfit on repeat. It’s how I feel put-together while still wearing sweatshirts and sneakers. The cool sneaker and at least having things coordinate, makes me feel like I tried a little.

But with the incoming spring season, I think I’m just about ready to retire from this combination. Instead, I’ll be reaching for the spring version of this combination which is this from last year. It’s just as comfortable and still feels like I’m kind of put-together.
