I am not blessed with perfectly straight hair, nor am I blessed with awesome natural curls. I’m sort of that in between, must do something to my hair before I leave my house or I am sure to look like a homeless person.
I’m not familiar with this NYC style living where buildings are older and you have to be conscious of how much power you are using at a single moment. I made the mistake of assuming ACs were off when I went to go blow dry my very wet hair 10 minutes before I had to leave for Lucky FABB. Yup, blew a fuse. Another great factor to this story, the cheese and wine shop that holds the breaker box doesn’t open for another 3 hours. Had to head to the biggest event in my blogging career with wet hair. This is my worst nightmare in fashion emergencies.
Luckily the Lucky FABB team had some hair and makeup from Covergirl ready to save the day, but that didn’t happen until half way through the day. This is after I consumed close to 3 gigantic black and white cookies to deal my emotions. I’m surprised there isn’t chocolate icing all over my face in these photos.
Turns out the new shorter do does better with drying naturally than my longer hair. Here are some photos from Lucky FABB.
Still shocked there isn’t chocolate on my face in this photo. Shocked.
Editor in Chief of Lucky, Brandon Holley, and the CEO of Macy’s, Terry Lundgren. I’m dying over her shoes. The Man Repeller herself. Showed up a few minutes late, but none the less was a treat to get to see. She is just as funny in person as she writes in her blog.

This moment made me one happy girl. Rachel Zoe, the god of fashion. I die. She was Ba-na-nas
