While I don’t head to the mall as often as I used to, on a more recent visit I discovered a new to me brand. Naked Wardrobe. I was at Nordstrom and they had an entire section dedicated to it. In all honesty, I passed right over it. It just seemed like a bunch of faux leather leggings and skirts. Not thinking it was something I wanted or needed. And since I already have a few favorite faux leather leggings, I just breezed right over it. Well, joke’s on me because I ended up trying on this Naked Wardrobe faux leather mini skirt and I instantly became obsessed.
Naked Wardrobe was started by three sisters in California looking to create fashion-forward basics. You’ve seen them being worn by celebrities like Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber. Their pieces are also fairly affordable with lots of different styles and colors to choose from. The selection is super broad. Not only in the styles, but the colorways to choose from. Browsing their website is kind of fun! I did buy my first item from Nordstrom and found that they had a really great in-store and online selection if you’re looking to try these pieces on first. Not only does Naked Wardrobe have such a wide selection of clothing, but they also cover men’s and kids! So many things to choose from like sweats, tees, pants, tanks and beyond.
Naked Wardrobe Skirt Review
The first item that I got from Naked Wardrobe is the side slit faux leather mini skirt. As soon as I pulled it on, I was obsessed. I knew it would be a great basic in my closet. I’m now eyeing so many other items from this brand so I thought I’d do a bit of a Naked Wardrobe review.
Bae Sic Midi Skirt
This midi skirt is a great basic from the office to your everyday wardrobe. It’s 95% viscose with 5% spandex which will make it feel like a bit of a knit skirt with some good stretch to it. The midi length makes it great for the office so you can pair it with a heel and blouse. For a more casual outfit, add white sneakers and a graphic tee knotted at the waist for a cool casual outfit. This style is also offered in plus sizes.
Side Slit Faux Leather Miniskirt
This is the skirt that I’m wearing and it comes in black and brown available at Nordstrom. It’s got a bit of a textured feel to the faux leather which I really like. It’s a bit more forgiving than a smooth leather that may show every little imperfection. I love the little slit on the thigh and think it is super flattering. I did a medium in this skirt. The fabric is made of mostly polyurethane which definitely allows it to be flexible and moveable. so this isn’t a stiff faux leather skirt.
High Waist Midi Skirt
A more high waist and midi length version of the above skirt. This is made out of different material than the faux leather mini. It’s mostly nylon with a good bit of spandex meaning it’ll really mold to your body and has good stretch. The high waist midi skirt is also a pull on style and runs a tad small. Also comes in black or brown. This would be great with a bodysuit and heels for a night out as this gives you a super sexy hourglass shape.
Hourglass Midi Skirt
This hourglass skirt is a bit longer than a traditional midi skirt. I’d almost call it a maxi. But it is body hugging and hugs every curve to show off your hourglass shape. The fabric is made out of 95% polyester and 5% spandex. So this will feel more like a light knit with a good bit of stretch to it. The hourglass midi skirt comes in a few great neutral colors like grey, black, chocolate and coco.
Naked Wardrobe Sizing Review
Before you order, I want to talk about the sizing. I’m finding on almost every item on their website says that it runs small. I personally took a large and I am a size 4 roughly in most bottoms. I was much more comfortable in a large over the medium. While both definitely fit, the large just hung a little more nicely and allowed me to feel more confident and comfortable.

How I’m Styling My Naked Wardrobe Skirt
I’m a sucker for a good little mini skirt. So styling these for me is so fun and easy. I just love them! But I don’t think I would’ve paired this with a blazer if it weren’t for my Nordstrom stylist who put this together. I love how the brown in the skirt pulls from the blazer. Layered over a simple white tee, a favorite from Reformation. It’s simple and easy. I would even wear this without the blazer just as is. Something about a good mini skirt and tee just works in my book. Dressed up with this blazer and Sarah Flint heels is a great look to wear out for dinner or an event.
A few other ways I’d style this is more casual and cozy. The brown Naked Wardrobe skirt would be perfect with a cropped sweater in maybe a lilac. I’d also recreate this color combination and pair this with my favorite baby blue oversized cropped sweater. Add combat boots, or a chunky loafer, for a complete fall and winter look that’s stylish and effortless.
And my go-to tip for wearing a skirt in the winter is wearing it with tights. I love a tight and skirt combo and this skirt would be great with either all black and letting the brown be the focal point. Or adding a textured tight to add something special. So many ways to style this little faux leather mini from fall, winter and into spring.
