Hope you all had a great long holiday weekend. I ended up eating way too much and laying around even more doing just about nothing. Well, a little work, but for the most part nothing. It was spent doing some online shopping, binge watching Friends and attempting a pumpkin pie. Post Thanksgiving, yes, because this year we didn’t have our neighbors epic pie and store bought was just not the same. So maybe I’ll become the pie person. Maybe.
Onto today’s look and why everyone needs a grey coat. Hear me out. I’ve owned this J.Crew grey coat, winter coat really, for a few years now. It was a fantastic investment and I wear it year over year. However, it’s a bit bulky and has a big hood on it. That combination makes it not super sleek to wear on cool days (versus cold AF days). For days that I want to have an extra layer and look stylish I grab this Topshop grey coat. It’s sophisticated, easily dresses up an outfit, and is surprisingly perfect with chucks too.
I picked up this coat while in London in February and in Atlanta, it got too warm too soon to really get much use out of it. I’m so glad the weather is cooling off to bring this out. This weekend was super gorgeous with just a slight chill in the air. This light coat is great for just those kind of days. All you need is a little sweater and you’re good.
