The holidays are always a hectic and busy time for everyone. Between getting in the holiday shopping, events and parties to attend and more it can feel like chaos at times. During this busy season, we’re all traveling to visit with family and attending work holiday parties. So when J. McLaughlin asked me to find the joy of the holidays with friends, I knew exactly how I wanted to celebrate, with drinks and bites at one of my favorite restaurants, St Cecilia.
Because of the holidays, I end up spending a lot of time with my family between spending a day together making raviolis, Thanksgiving, Christmas and more. It’s nice to head out with just friends to catch up as we tend to easily lose touch. Whether it’s getting together as a big group for a Friendsgiving meal (we actually did this over the weekend which was so much fun) or just grabbing a few drinks, it’s something that’s important to try to carve out time for during the holidays. It’s always nice to have an excuse to get a little dolled up, too!
So to celebrate the joy of the holiday with friends, I grabbed my travel partner Kristin and headed to St Cecilia to hang out at the bar and catch up. And fun fact, we’re heading to Thailand for my 30th birthday in January. While getting drinks, we were able to finalize a few more travel plans so it made for a fun afternoon of daydreaming about our upcoming trip. As a result, we devoured charcuterie plates, octopus and their amazing bread with ricotta. In Atlanta and haven’t been here yet? Definitely move it to the top of your list. First of all, It’s one of the prettiest restaurants in the city if you ask me and was decorated beautifully for the holidays, but they also have some of the best Italian food around.
Since this restaurant is a bit of a fancier spot in the city, I decided to go navy on navy and add a little glam with these gorgeous statement earrings. One of my favorite colors is navy, so I instantly gravitated towards this pretty sweater. Pairing this sweater with these super comfy leggings (almost like pajamas) and grey heels was the perfect look! A great compliment to the whole look was this pretty light blue bag. Also, this sweater will be great dressed down too with jeans and flats for an easy weekend look too. You can shop more of my favorite J. McLaughlin pieces below.
