While shooting recently for the blog, my photographer and I both were literally DEAD afterward. I thought by going at 9:30 in the morning, we’d maybe beat the heat, but boy were we wrong. I had to peel my damp clothes off my body and forced myself to put on the next outfit. It was not fun!

Thanks to wearing the NYDJ Cool Embrace jeans during this shoot, I thought, well this is a great way to really test these out! The NYDJ that have Cool Embrace technology with the help of Lycra. Basically, the same technology that goes into our favorite workout wear that wicks away moisture, is used in these great jeans. Pretty genius, right?
I put on the jeans and headed out to shoot this summery look and guess what? They worked! I thought I’d have to struggle to take these jeans off with how muggy and miserable it was, but they weren’t an issue at all.
With the heat index hitting over 100 degrees in Atlanta this summer, having jeans that will survive that kind of heat wave is ideal. Especially if you need to get dressed for your office in business casual (we love a good dark wash jean for that!) these will help keep you cool.
Does NYDJ Run True To Size
I find that the Not Your Daughter Jeans runs pretty true to size for me. I usually take my regular size. Always keep in mind when shopping denim to look at the fabric composition. If there’s a lot of stretch in the fabric, you’ll want to maybe take your smaller size as the jeans will loosen up quite a bit.

This collection of NYDJ Cool Embrace jeans come in tons of different washes, fits and cuts. You can definitely find something that you love based on your personal style. I really love the straight leg jeans and the skinny jeans I’ve styled here.
For summer, I’m personally over wearing the same few shorts over and over again. So this cool embrace technology also allows you to get more out of your closet in the warmer months.
