One of the fun things about following bloggers and influencers (as I hope you agree to this too) is that you learn about brands and products you never would’ve known before. Truly being influenced can be great! Discovering new brands, styles and people to inspire you, it’s part of the fun, right? And that’s exactly what happened with this dress.
I’ve been a follower of A Pair & A Spare for a while now and she has such a beautiful sense of style. Her home, stunning. I’d like to move right in. While reading her Seville travel guide (my girlfriends and I are heading there this summer) I noticed all her beautiful dresses. I just had to know where they were from! Turns out, they were all from an Australian brand, Paddo To Palmy.
After browsing the Paddo To Palmy site and falling in love with just about everything they offered, I finally decided to take advantage of their 30% off sale. In fear of having to pay return shipping to Australia (an arm and a leg basically), I made sure to read the size chart, measure myself and make 100% sure this would fit. When this pretty striped maxi dress arrived I was so excited to put it on. But also slightly terrified I was going to hate it and be out all that money. Not entirely expensive, but a little more than what I like to spend, especially on a brand I’ve never heard of before.
After I popped it on and took a look in the mirror, I was sold! I absolutely love the dress. The fabric is beautiful (100% cotton which you know I’m all about). It also has snaps in between each button so that there’s zero pulling. And I’m also all about a great tie back anything (like this jumpsuit and also this top).
Paddo To Palmy Sizing Review
I ended up doing a size 2. I am typically a size 4 in most dresses in the US. But this was 0, 1, 2, 3 sizings (no idea what country that’s from as it’s not Australian). I recommend measuring if you have any hesitation about sizing. Since I’m typically a 4, it said I should have ordered a 1. After measuring, I knew a 2 would be a better fit. Always measure! Also, this dress is now on MAJOR sale at only $116. You can shop it right here.
Now that I know my sizing, I’m definitely waiting for their next sale. I’m eyeing the Cartagena dress and this simple white Hydra linen dress. Do you have an unexpected brand I should check out? Leave a note below!
