Today I’m off on an adventure to Palmetto Bluff. To be honest, I had to Google where this was. I 100% thought it was in Georgia since it’s just 30 minutes away from Savannah. But wrong, it’s in South Carolina! I’m eager to explore another part of this State with some new and old blogger friends.
We have a packed itinerary. From bike rides, to putt putt, bowling and a cooking class, it’s going to be a busy weekend. Personally, I’m most excited for the cooking class. It’s one of my favorite things to do when I travel somewhere. You get a taste of the culture, learn a new recipe and it’s a great way to socialize with new people. I’m hoping to get a little downtime though to explore the pool and beach and take a leisure bike ride for myself. A bike ride is one of the best ways to explore a destination.
I’m packing quite a bit for this trip because the days are long and we have so many activities. I have a feeling there will be several outfit changes! Plus, since this is technically a work trip where we’ll be creating lots of content, it’s nice to have some pretty things to shoot against an even prettier backdrop. Here’s what I’m packing for the trip.

What I’m Packing For Palmetto Bluff
Whenever I go on a quick beach getaway, there are always some staples I never leave without. I always have a great beach bag, all the SPF things, a few swimsuits and classic jean shorts. For dressy things, a few easy breezy dresses that can be dressed up or down are always a great idea. And never forget a summer hat!
Dresses & Jumpsuits
I love when dresses and jumpsuits can easily be dressed down for a lunch post pool, or for dinner with the addition of a great earring and high heel. I’m packing a few options since we have three nice dinners with the group! I just got this beautiful off the shoulder maxi and I think it’ll be perfect for dinner.
Everyday Basics
No matter what the trip, I always bring my go to things like jeans and easy cotton tees. They’re my uniform, so no matter what the itinerary says, I’m packing these for backup. They can be great for wearing to and from the airport, or to and from breakfast that doesn’t require any work. They’re pieces I can also mix with any skirts I bring or any pretty tops.
Sandals & Accessories
Always pack comfortable sandals and at least one great high heel to dress up all those dresses and jumpsuits. Just one nude pair is all you need. My Ann Taylor cork heels have been on repeat so they’re making the cut! Plus, a great clutch and some bandanas to spruce up bags or my hair make for an easy accessory that packs a punch
Swimsuits & Coverups
I definitely hope to make it to the pool as from the images above, it looks amazing! I’ll be packing this red bikini from Show Me Your Mumu and also my latest Solid & Stripe one piece that I’m obsessed with. I always bring a classic one piece that can be used as a bodysuit. It’s my favorite warm weather getaway outfit trick.
A few other things you can not forget when traveling to the low country? Sunscreen and bug spray! Always a good idea to keep some travel-sized ones in your personal bag as well as you explore the city.
