Everyone has their color. Right? The color they love to buy way too much of. The one that makes you feel good and that you can kind of never say no to. While I was doing KonMari on my closet and trying to fine-tune my closet and open up some closet space, I definitely noticed some colors I tend to love. And saw a few patterns in my closet. Not only do I love a great summer dress. But I own a lot of RED. And it’s only for the summer!
When I look at my fall and winter wardrobe I tend to lean super dark, casual pieces and not a lot of dresses. Lots of black leather, navy, denim and maybe some earthy tones. I’ll sometimes grab hunter greens or burgundy for my color of choice in the cooler months. But I usually am fairly neutral in the winter. Although I am rarely without a bold red lip year round and typically choose red as my go-to nail polish hue. So clearly, red is a color I just love.
Red Summer Outfit Ideas
Come summer though, it seems I embrace RED. for some red summer outfit ideas, I’ve got quite a few! From this red dress to today’s Joules dress (it seems a tad orange here, but it’s red!) to red tees and even red sandals. I love red summer outfits!
I never would’ve thought that but it was a clear color palette obsession when I was doing the Marie Kondo method in my closet a few weeks ago. Ove rand over again, I kept seeing all the great pieces I owned in this color and I realized, it’s my summer hue! And I think for a few reasons. It’s bright and fun which is how I feel about summer. Plus, I think it looks really good against a good summer glow.
This color can wash you out if you don’t have a tan if you ask me. But come summer, when I tend to be a sun worshiper by the pool, red is a color that makes me feel like I’m on vacation! And lastly, I think red and denim go really well together. As someone who lives in denim, whether it’s a denim jacket or denim shorts, having some red tops and dresses is a no-brainer for me.
