Sometimes a good 50’s throwback retro style is a fun hair trend to try. Great for events like a wedding when you want to do something different with your hair. How To Get Pin Up Curls On Short Hair
Step One
Curl the front section of your hair with a large barrel iron (1 1/2 inch will do) and curl it forward making one big curl. Secure it with a clip and let it hang out while you curl the rest of your hair. If you have rollers, this is the perfect thing to set it in while you work on your hair.
Step Two
Then curl the rest of your hair in the same direction. Do this the entire way around your hair in one direction. This is key to making the pin up style look from the 50s, and not your standard beach waves hairstyle.
Step Three
Once your head is fully curled, you can then brush it out gently with a wide tooth comb.
Step Four
You’ll start to notice a wave forming from all the curls going in the same direction. From here you’ll add clips and maneuver the pieces to enhance the wave.
Step Five
Let your hair sit and set a bit to cool. When you’re ready to head out the door, spray with hairspray and don’t forget a good red lipstick. It just belongs with this hairstyle.
