Everyone’s seen The Wizard of Oz, right? It’s the quintessential children’s movie. The yellow brick road, emerald city, the munchkins, the list goes on. A childhood without The Wizard of Oz is not a childhood at all. However, in our house, a childhood without Return to Oz is an uneventful, boring childhood. I don’t think I’ve met anyone who has actually seen this sequel.
To give you a quick synopsis of the movie, it’s Dorothy, but not the original Dorothy, who is believed to have mental disorder after all her talk about Oz. She goes on to an insane asylum and escape’s to Oz. But scary Oz, where monkeys have wheels for feet and it’s just weird. There’s also a moose who talks, and a terrifying witch. She ends up in Emerald City and has to discover little gems in a sea of emerald. Okay now that you’re up to speed a bit, go rent it. So good. Emerald green is such a rich fun color to decorate with. Whether you go bold with a whole room full of it, or try smaller pieces like an accent wall, or chairs. I think it’s such a fun color update.
