I recently made a VERY big career decision in leaving my job last month. It was the hardest decision I’ve had to make because I loved where I worked. There was never a day I didn’t want to go to the office. How lucky was I? But I did not particularly enjoy the travel and was beginning to get a little burnt out (on top of SBS, SWBS and this lovely site that consumes a ton of time) and I was beginning to feel it. I took the leap of faith to say my goodbyes at a super fun 9-5 and try to just figure my shit out. I don’t have anything lined up, which is terrifying to a degree, but less stressful with a blog and some sort of income thanks to it (so thank you for that). I thought it was fitting when my favorite customer at Alernative sent me a goodbye present with the word “wanderer” on it. Could that be any more fitting for what the next few months will look like?
Cheers to new adventures in the coming months and figuring out where my skills and ambition take me. Maybe more freelance writing, starting a small PR business as its something I’ve grown to love from being a blogger and my own PR person, or even an online store. The future is uncertain but I know it’s bright.
