I have seen a few blog friends ooh and ah over Sarah Flint. But it was when I was in Brooklyn with Meghan of Wit & Whimsy and she was walking around Brooklyn Heights in her Sarah Flint pumps and I was struggling in my Steve Madden ones, I asked her honestly, are those really as comfortable as everyone says?
Her response?
The most comfortable heels in my closet. Since I was already in the city, I decided to pop into the Sarah Flint pop up to try these beloved heels out for myself and learn a little more about this woman-owned brand.
The Sarah Flint shoes are handcrafted in Italy by artisans who make the highest quality luxury shoes in the world. These are made in family owned factories that have been churning out beautifully crafted shoes for generations.
The direct to you sales model means these really should be priced much higher, as in 40-50% more than the price you see. And yes, these are a tad on the pricier side already, but in my experience with Manolo Blahniks and Christian Louboutins, these are MUCH more comfortable and half the price while just as beautiful.
Whether you’re into a ballet flat (the Natalie flats are beautiful) or a classic pump, ankle booties and even loafers – there are many great styles to choose from. Along with beautiful prints, colors and materials from leather to suede and more.
While perusing the pop-up, I kept gravitating towards the classic pointy toed pump. The Perfect Pump is what they call it and it comes in a few height options.
Sarah Flint Perfect Pump 100
It was clear when I was browsing the store that the Perfect Pump was going to be the shoe I’d come home with. It’s what Meghan was wearing too (she was in the 85mm) but I could not stop putting the 100mm on.
The Sarah Flint Perfect Pump 100 is a classic pointy-toed pump. It’s a timeless shoe that comes in an array of colors in leather and suede. I love the slight point in the front of the toe box too. It adds a little something to it that makes it feel even more feminine.
With all their shoes, they have anatomical arch support for insane support and comfort. Your foot feels like it’s being hugged in all the right places but not crowded. It’s incredible! This is what really sets this brand apart from any other I’ve ever worn.
If 100mm (that’s about 4 inches by the way) is too tall for you, this shoe also comes in a more sensible height for everyday or the office in 50mm or 85mm. I was VERY torn between the 85 and 100. The 85 felt like the absolute perfect height that would go with EVERYTHING.
From the office to walking around a city, to getting dressed up for a night out and beyond. But there was just something about the 100mm that makes your legs look so long and sexy that I had to go for it.
My next purchase from Sarah Flint will definitely be the 85mm in maybe a darker suede to have some options.
Sarah Flint Perfect Pump 100 Materials
This shoe is made with triple-dyed Italian suede or supple Italian calf depending on if you go leather or suede. It also has leather lining and insole along with a leather outsole. But the kicker is the full rubber sole which adds to the comfort of the shoe.
If you buy a pair of Christian Louboutins, the popular red bottoms are leather. And guess what? It wears off after one wear. And many people actually get them reinforced with a red rubber sole. These Sarah Flint pumps come with a rubber sole to help make them much more comfortable right out of the box.
And let’s not forget about the steel rod stiletto here. This ensures durability and security. Another fun fact from my prior failed designer shoe experience, my Louboutin heel snapped in half after two weeks of owning them. Such a disappointment.
Sarah Flint Perfect Pump 100 Fit And Sizing
When it comes to a pointy toed shoe I typically find myself in a size 8.5. I’m usually a size 8 or 8.5 in most of my shoes. For the sizing on these Sarah Flint Perfect Pump 100 heels, I went with my usual 8.5 which is the Italian size 39. They do recommend sizing up a 1/2 size but I found I just went with my larger size that I find myself in.
I’m not sure if everyone has that situation or not, but I’m either an 8 or 8.5 so my larger size worked just fine. With any leather shoe, they will stretch in width in the toe box. But they will NOT stretch in length. If the widest part of your foot is not in line with the widest part of the toebox, go up to the next size.
I also think the wider toe box on the shoe design itself allowed me to take my usual size and not have to go up to a 9 which sometimes can happen in a really high pointed toe shoe.
What To Wear With The Sarah Flint Perfect Pump 100
With A Party Dress
I honestly would not normally pair a leather pump with a party dress, but these are just so sexy and classic that it works. I always find myself grabbing a more strappy heel for this type of look. But the Sarah Flint pump is too classic not to pair with your favorite party dresses. It also adds a bit of sophistication to any look.
With Neutrals
Since this shoe is the perfect nude for me, I love to pair with a neutral look. Shades of tan, browns and creams come together for an effortless and elevated look.
Paired With A Mini Skirt + Blazer
The sexiest pairing if you ask me. I love a mini skirt with a nice sky high stiletto. It’s sexy, it’s classic, it feels so feminine. I love this combination.
My Honest Review Of The Sarah Flint Perfect Pump 100
I’m a sucker for a beautiful stiletto and these are seriously my favorite and most loved. As someone who has owned Manolo’s and Louboutins, I can confidently say these are superior. In both the durability, the fit and construction and unrivaled quality.
As both of my designer shoes went back due to poor quality. And don’t get me started on how insanely uncomfortable a Louboutin is. Manolo’s are just as comfortable as Sarah Flint, but are half the price and in my opinion, have unrivaled quality.
Even with a 100mm heel, these are comfortable and durable shoes that I’ll be wearing for years to come. The extra padding in the footbed along with the arch support, these shoes truly feel like clouds. And they are simply the most beautiful heels in my closet that are classics. They’ll be favorites for years.
