While browsing Pinterest the other night, I stumbled onto the photo above and fell in love. The idea of decorating your stairs with fun colors and prints is an idea I just adore. But then realized I don’t have stairs to decorate, cover in fun prints or pretty fabrics. I feel like I’m missing out on life over here. This seems like a major design project in a home and I wish I could partake in this. So instead, I’ll be daydreaming until the day comes where I have not one floor, but two and a staircase is required.
My Favorite Bold Staircase Runners
Antelope staircase runners are having a major moment right now. This updated animal print is a fun alternative to the classic leopard. Still neutral enough though, these warm tones update even the most classic of stairs.
Don’t like carpet? No worries. This is an affordable way to transform stairs. White painted stairs get a serious facelift with a navy runner. The sleek look adds a touch of color without a huge investment.
This all-white home gets a colorful update with rainbow striped stairs. What a way to add color to your space! I love that the colors are a touch muted and feel almost like they’re from the 70s. It’s a super unique way to update all white stairs.
For a nautical look, these white and blue striped stairs are again another easy painting project.
Forget the fabric, forget a stripe, go bold with an entire staircase decked out in one single hue. This serious color creates a major pop to the space.
