Updating My Winter Wardrobe With The Help Of Stitch Fix
This is a Stitch Fix review that is sponsored by Stitch Fix. All opinions and views are my own.
I know we’ve all been there. We are struggling to figure out what to add to our closet, how to put outfits together and what the latest trends are.
And while that’s the whole reason why I started a blog over a decade ago, even I love to get a little help from a professional now and again. Sometimes I get stuck in a style rut, or I find myself buying the same kind of things over and over again.
And that’s why I love Stitch Fix. A personal styling service for women, men and children that helps to make it fun to discover new styles and freshen up your wardrobe.
Stitch Fix Review
How Does Stitch Fix Work?
Stitch Fix is so easy and fun to use and that’s one of the reasons I think so many people love it. The sign-up process is really simple and working with your own stylist is a fun way to fine-tune your personal style.
Start by filling out a short style quiz at StitchFix.com.
You’ll let them know your styling needs, what you love to show off, and even what you don’t like to show off. All of these little details will help your Stitch Fix stylist know exactly what you want so they can confidently select some great pieces for your Fix.
Now that you’ve set up your style profile, you can request your first Fix. A Fix is a curated box of 5 Stitch Fix select pieces that get sent directly to you. You will be charged a $20 styling fee upfront, however, those $20 can be applied towards anything you decide to keep from your Fix. When you receive your Fix it truly feels like someone sent you the perfect package.
You can keep the pieces you love, and send back what doesn’t work. There’s also free shipping and returns making it a no-brainer. This service is on-demand so you can request a Fix whenever you want. Maybe you need some pieces for an upcoming trip or event, or maybe you just want to refresh your closet each season with a few new things.
What Brands Are On Stitch Fix?
There’s no shortage of brands, or even sizes, on Stitch Fix. There are over 1,000 brands and styles to choose from. And one thing I love is how size-inclusive Stitch Fix is. They have size ranges from XS to 3X, and size 0 to size 24. Plus, they offer petites and maternity.
Who Can Use Stitch Fix?
Stitch Fix can be used for women, men and even children! It really takes the guesswork out of shopping when you’re limited on time and maybe don’t feel super confident in curating your closet.
You’re probably wondering why I, a fashion blogger, would need something like this. Well, honestly, I think everyone can benefit from the help of a professional stylist. Even me!
While I love to shop and try new trends, I too can feel stuck in my style, or find myself shopping the same brands and fits and not branching out. Having someone on the outside looking in with a fresh set of eyes is a really fun way to refresh your wardrobe.
It’s one of my favorite personal styling hacks honestly. Just like you come to me for style advice, I like to go to others too. And Stitch Fix makes it really fun to have a partner in style!
In My Latest Stitch Fix
When I filled out my Stitch Fix quiz, I knew I wanted to have some cozy winter pieces. Pieces that felt fun and different from what’s already in my closet. I let my stylist know I wanted to invest in more mini skirts. And also get some cozy textures, fabrics and colors. After opening my Fix when it arrived, I knew they nailed it.
The first look is this cozy half zip pullover sweater paired with the cutest quilted skirt. This sweater style has been a hot trend lately and I have yet to really try it out. Another reason why I loved my Fix was that it had new trends I knew were in, but I just hadn’t had the time to find for myself.
And for the second look, it’s the perfect winter hues of rich burgundy and browns. I specifically told my stylist I did not want ANY denim. I am drowning in denim and need something new and different, but still love the silhouette of a straight leg jean.
In my Fix were the softest, and comfiest, burgundy straight-leg pants. They paired them with a cozy knit sweater that matched perfectly. To top off the look, another trend I have been wanting to try: the faux leather trench coat.
You all know I’ve been leaning into my brown era, and so I was really excited when this arrived. I even left a note for my stylist that I wanted NOTHING in black. This faux leather trench is a great layering piece. I love how it works with all the rich burgundy jewel tones.
