For summer entertaining, you can’t go wrong with a delicious frosé recipe. They’re surprisingly easy to make too. Great for a crowd if you’re entertaining too. Plus, you can add in whatever fruit you like. Don’t have strawberries? Watermelon works! Or even raspberries. And you don’t even have to have fresh. You can totally use frozen fruit in a pinch.
I picked up this $5.99 bottle of rosé from ALDI, yes you read that right. And it is delicious by the way. And it’s perfect for making my summer strawberry lemon frosé recipe.
This summer cocktail is refreshing, tart from the lemon and a little sweet from the strawberries. They all complement the flavors of the rosé wine perfectly. Serve it up for a summer BBQ, or for happy hour at home.
You can also keep this in the freezer as it never fully hardens. So make a big batch, and enjoy it all week long for a post-work cocktail that’s way better than just a glass of wine.
Strawberry Lemon Frosé Recipe
If you plan on making my strawberry lemon frose for a get-together, I’d recommend prepping it at least 6 hours ahead of time. This gives the drink plenty of time to harden so it’s perfectly frozen. But to make your life easier, just prepare it the night before so you don’t have to think about it.
Ingredients
- 1 Bottle of your favorite rosé
- 1 pint of strawberries (or 1½ cups of frozen strawberries. I would recommend slightly thawing them to make blending a little easier and faster)
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice
Method
Step One
Add all ingredients to a blender and buzz it up until it’s smooth.
Step Two
Transfer the mixture into a freezer safe storage container and freeze for a few hours (4-6 usually).
Step Three
Remove the strawberry lemon frose from the freezer and mix with a spoon and serve. If you like, you can also add it back to a blender and buzz it up again for an even smoother consistency. It comes out a bit like a granita when you don’t blend it once frozen. Garnish with a strawberry and lemon.
