If you’ve been living under a rock, hi, and I am here to tell you that the it color for fall and winter is RED. And I am here for it. Surprisingly it’s an easy color to style and one combination I’ve been reaching for is pairing it with dusty blue.
Styling Red And Dusty Blue
When I added this dusty blue crossbody bag to my closet I was a little worried it wouldn’t go with a ton. Maybe just all my neutrals and blues. But turns out, it goes with everything. As you can see, it looks just like the denim I’m wearing.
In my book, denim goes with everything. So I’ve basically been treating this bag as a neutral. Pairing it with literally all of the things in my closet. I have no shame, and it is truly the best bag ever. Sezane does it again!
Dusty blue, baby blue, pastel blue, I’m not sure if this has a definitive name, but it’s a really beautiful soft blue that I promise you’ll get lots of use out of.
But one pairing I’ve been loving is the combination of dusty blue with red. And since red is such a hot color right now, it’s been a fun way to wear my new red pieces. Like this red M.M.LaFleur cashmere sweater that is just so good. Styling it with my Frame wide leg jeans and the dusty blue bag is perfection.
For a more casual look, I am also loving my new red Adidas platform Gazelle’s, which are the perfect shoe to pair with jeans, a neutral top and this dusty blue bag.
If you’ve invested in a few red pieces for fall and winter, try pairing them with dusty blue. Whether it’s a dusty blue leather jacket or blazer, or a pretty dusty blue bag, it’s a surefire pairing.

What Colors To Pair With Dusty Blue
In addition to bright cherry red, there are a few other colors I’m loving to pair with dusty blue. I really love it with rich chocolate browns. A color I’ve been obsessing over as of late.
This color also looks great with burgundy and caramel hues. Lots of great earthy tones will work with it. Which is why I added this brown and red plaid blazer to my look.
And for more color, try it with pinks both toned down and rich and saturated. Would also be so fun with a rich purple.
My general rule of thumb when it comes to choosing contrasting or complimentary colors is to use the color wheel theory. I talk about that here. And since dusty blue is a soft less pigmented color, you can pair it with more saturated colors for an easy contrast.
How I Styled Red And Dusty Blue For Fall
To style these two colors together, I paired them with my Frame wide leg jeans that are a great essential for your closet. I love them as a nicer pair of jeans with heels.
For shoes, you bet I’m choosing silver. A metallic I am loving at the moment. The silver trend is here and it’s so fun to style. And again, is such a great neutral, don’t overthink it!
To top the look off I chose this M.M.LaFleur blazer that has browns, and burgundy in the plaid print. It pulled the whole look together and is the perfect third piece to complete the outfit.
