My style is usually pretty casual and laid back. I’m all about a great tee and jeans. And come summer, it’s a tee or tank for sure always paired with shorts. The one thing I seem to always struggle to shop for is true blouses. Ones that aren’t boring, and also aren’t just a button-down. I have my fair share of great button-downs but sometimes you just want something a little different. A little more feminine, or a little more fashion-forward. It’s the thing I find myself always saying I need to shop for the most. To me, my closet feels like it’s the one thing it’s lacking. Great blouses.
For summer, it’s a whole other ball game too. A blouse for summer must be cotton or linen. Or it’s a hard no from me. Atlanta summers are no joke and the humidity can turn you into a pool of sweat by before lunchtime within minutes. I’ve learned my lesson. And that lesson is to always check the fabric composition of your clothing. If it isn’t mostly cotton or linen, it’s a no for me. Lyocell I’ll allow, but I really do aim to have at least 50% of the fabric composition be either cotton or linen. It makes all the difference and you’ll thank me later once you start checking your clothing tags before adding to cart.
