I’m a little excited Monday is finally here to be completely honest with you. Last week was a whirlwind for me as I headed to Vegas with one of my favorite people, Tia of Caviar and Catwalks. I spent all weekend catching up on sleep and life so I’m eager to take on the week!
Tia was in Sin City for work, so I decided to meet her out there, walk Magic/Project (an apparel tradeshow that was actually really cool to walk as a blogger), and of course, see Britney Spears. It was 48 hours of pure joy! I forget how much I love Vegas and had such a great time with her. We dined at Mr. Chow which was hands down one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been, Beauty + Essex where I ate an insanely delicious butterscotch pudding. I also ordered a shot at the bar before heading out and I darted out so fast in an effort to not miss Britney that I left my credit card there. Don’t worry, the nice bartender chased me down which was super nice of him.

While at the slots, I got lucky and won the Jackpot on Britney Spears’ penny slots. Yes penny, because by this point we were broke. But lesson learned, always play max bets because I only won a measly $100. Needless to say, we’re already planning the next trip. We never made it out to the clubs or parties and instead sat our asses down at slot machines for hours on end.
Now to today’s outfit! Let;s file this under, the lost outfits of TBScon. Before the conference I feel like I bought and pulled so many pieces from my favorite stores in hopes to find the perfect look. This was a contender as I loved the peplum hem of this skirt and the bold color. PS it does come in black if you aren’t sold on such a bright color. I even prepared myself by shooting it with Janelle in advance to make sure I documented the look for the blog. Plus, I wanted to make sure that it was super cute, noted, it is. However, after realizing how much standing and sitting and moving around I’d be doing I realized I didn’t want to mess with the skirt and worry about flashing any one though so it sadly stayed home.
I’m already thinking of new ways to wear this little red peplum skirt though and thinking maybe with this chambray lace up shirt or just a simple tee and sneakers. This may be exactly what I pack for NYFW next month now that I think of it. I love that skirts are so versatile too. Lately I’m finding myself finally getting more use out of my growing collection. However, I still haven’t reworn this denim pencil skirt yet this summer and need to get on that ASAP. It was a favorite last summer that I wore over and over again.
