On our very last day in California, we decided to leave Palm Springs super early and head to Venice Beach to explore a bit. One of my friends we were with has never seen California, so we thought hitting up Abbot Kinney and Venice would be a fun way to spend our last day. To head out to good ol LA, I threw on a favorite summer outfit and my most California look I could put together. Stripe tee, denim mini skirt, hat and sandals. I think this trip turned me into a boat hat wearer 100%. I didn’t take this thing off the entire time we were there it felt like and I didn’t hate it one bit. I’m usually not a big hat wearer, but this one has been a game changer and it’s the LAST hat silhouette I would ever think would fit my style.
Plus, a total side note, these inexpensive Steve Madden sandals were a great buy this spring. I wear them all the time and they held up to a whole day of exploring (and even a full day at Coachella without a single blister). They’re currently on sale and you can shop them right here.
