If you ask me, a red handbag is one of those things you unexpectedly fall in love with. You may not initially gravitate towards one unless red is your all time favorite color. But once you try it, you’d be surprised how much you love it. They’re great for fall and winter to add some bright color to your outfit. They pair great with leopard (a favorite print). Plus, they work perfectly in the summer with simple crisp white or chambray pieces.
I got this Vera Bradley leather quilted satchel recently and have loved styling it way more than I ever thought I would. It goes with denim, gray jeans, chambray, black, browns and so much more. Today I paired it with simple dark grey jeans and a chambray button-down. A simple casual look. But with the added leopard heels, it feels a little dressier. The pop of red is exactly what brings this entire outfit together.

When looking for a red handbag you can go a few different routes. Bright fire engine red that’s vibrant and fun. Or you can choose one that’s a bit more muddy that isn’t so in your face. And you can even go deep in color and choose a more burgundy or merlot red. Either way, a red bag is such a fun addition to any closet and will for sure go with WAY more things than you ever imagined.

Whenever I put an outfit together, I like to think about how I can also extend the life of it to head to the office too. This outfit could also work easily for your 9-5 job by adding a black or camel blazer for a business casual outfit. You can also swap the jeans for the best trouser pants around (my favorites in this post!). The pop of red will make your outfit feel bright, cheery and fashion-forward.
