You all should see my shower. It’s FULL of all the different shampoos and conditioners. I love trying new products and when Pantene asked me to give their new Pantene Charcoal Collection Shampoo and Conditioner a try I said of course. With the promise that the activated charcoal blend works to detox hair by attracting impurities (like a magnet), while releasing antioxidants, I was intrigued. I use a ton of hair products to style my hair and tend to go a little crazy leaving my hair with tons of product buildup. Also, I always try to extend my style a few extra days leaving it a little greasier than I like. Both problems that Pantene promises to help fix!
Upon first try, as in pumping it into my hands to get ready to lather it on, I LOVED the smell of this. It’s heavenly. I’m also big on a good lather, it just makes me feel like my hairs getting squeaky clean. After a blowdry and style, my hair was full of great body and felt shiny and healthy. All things one should feel about their hair, right? With this charcoal system in Pantene’s new Charcoal Collection, there’s a blend of pro-vitamin B5, activated charcoal and antioxidants.
Pantene’s Charcoal Hair System Review
We often times see activated charcoal in health and beauty products, but the benefits absolutely extend to your hair. Unlike skin however, our hair does not have a built-in purification system. Wouldn’t that be nice? So if you are going three or more days without washing, you need a product that can truly remove the build-up of scalp oils, styling products and dry shampoo – insert the activated charcoal!
Also, the blend of pro-vitamin B5 is ideal for great moisture in your locks and helps to repair damaged hair. My hair goes through the ringer with all the heat I put on it and the styling products. This helps to make me leave for the day feeling like my hair is being nourished!
If you want to try this product, it will be available to purchase from Target mid-July!
