I have a couple of upcoming summer weddings and I’m starting to think about what the heck to wear to them. I usually pull out this navy beauty for any and all weddings I get invited to. It’s such a classic piece that can be dressed up for a more semi-formal wedding (heck even formal!) and more dressed down for a standard dress code. But with summertime weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers and more happening now more than ever, I need something else! Insert this perfect Reformation dress for all your summer parties.
Reformation is always the go-to place to shop for a wedding guest dress. They have you covered for dressy weddings, destination and everything in between. And this Sloane dress is a great piece for all those summer weddings. Not only is it perfect for an outdoor wedding, but also dressed down for summer dates and get-togethers. I’ve worn this to dinner with a low block heel and denim jacket, it’s perfect!
The Perfect Dress For Summer Weddings
Reformation Sloane Dress Review
The thing I love about this dress is how effortless it is. It’s just so flattering and comfortable. The back is a stunner. Obviously, you can’t wear a bra with this. Although I have heard good things about this Target backless bra. And as always, I typically wear my lazy Spanx under something like this but because Reformation makes such a great dress, it really doesn’t require it because it’s fit for a curvy body I feel like.
The Sloane dress comes in four prints too and I’m tempted to literally buy all of them. At $148, this is priced at my ideal Reformation price point. No thank you to the $298 dresses that you’ll wear once. I mean, I wish I could buy them all no matter the price. But when something at Reformation is in the low $100s, I’m usually down to grab it. I went with a small in this dress because of the ability to adjust the top which is my main sizing pain point with the brand. You can check out my full Reformation sizing guide here. Since the chest area is adjustable thanks to the open lace up back, I was able to do a small. I find if their dresses are more fitted around the chest and rib cage, I tend to feel much more comfortable in a medium.
