I’m already onto my next adventure and am currently in New York City for a few days. But I realized I have yet to share my adventures in Duck, North Carolina while staying at Sanderling Resort a few weeks ago with the #BloggersDoTravel group. We had such a fun time relaxing and catching up with one another while getting to explore a new place.
A few highlights of the trip was definitely dinner at Paper Canoe, ice cream on the boardwalk and roasting s’mores by the fire pit together. It was such a fun few days getting to catch up on all that’s been going on with everyone. We spent hours hanging out in our big rooms (they ended up putting us all next to each other so we opened up the joining doors) drinking wine and trading blog tips. I always feel like I learn so much when I get to spend some quality time with fellow bloggers. It was super fun to get to do all of that plus explore Duck! SMORES BY THE OCEAN
I love myself a good fire pit to gather around with friends. When we arrived, it was getting close to sundown and this cute make your own s’more station was all set up right behind the lobby on the walk to the beach. It was complete with mini York Peppermint patties (which are now my latest weakness) caramels, and more. We roasted dozens of marshmallows while enjoying white russians as a pre dinner treat. I secretly just prefer the toasted marshmallow by itself, so I ate several right off the stick in between stuffing York’s in my face. Thanking Kristin for this York obsession, I haven’t kicked it since this trip!
ROOM WITH A VIEW
When we arrived at our hotel we were so excited to see that all of our rooms were connected. We instantly opened up all the doors and it became a giant sorority house. Or at least that’s how I imagine it would be like. The rooms were beautiful and we had the most incredible view of the water that we could enjoy while sitting on our private balconies.
A SPOT FOR MORNING COFFEE
These adorable rocking chairs lined the hotel’s lobby front porch. They were so inviting and were a great spot to enjoy a morning coffee before getting our day started.
A FUN BIKE RIDE TO THE BOARDWALK
We all got on our bikes and headed 5 miles down the road to Duck’s boardwalk. It’s full of cute restaurants, shops and views. We dined at The Blue Point for lunch which was super delicious and then all devoured some ice cream right afterwards.
BEACH BOUND IN LILLY PULITZER
One of the main reasons we gals wanted to get away was to enjoy a little beach and sun. The moment we arrived, well technically after we devoured the giant charcuterie board they brought to us, we headed straight to the beach in out Lilly Pulitzer dresses (you can see all of us here).
