If you know me at all, even just met me once in the last 3 months, you’ll know that I helped host the big third annual Southern Blog Society conference last weekend with co-founder Cathy of Poor Little It Girl. I still can’t believe it’s already over. 6 months of planning, so much stress, but a whole lot of fun. I wanted to share some of my favorite photos that Kim Graham took (the super amazing and sweet woman who took all our photos, so if you’re Charleston based, be sure to hit her up!) from the weekend. I rarely had my phone on me that weekend which felt kind of nice, but it meant I got no photos. Thank god for Kim!
A few highlights of the weekend were definitely getting to sweat it out at our Swoozie’s welcome party at the terrace on the Belmond Charleston Place. It was HOT but totally worth it. On Saturday for our big conference, I loved all our great speakers, but Alison of ESPNW was a home run. When we opened the curtains to reveal the networking suite was another major moment. I don’t think ANYONE was expecting it and I really wish we got it on video. If anyone has a shot of it, send it to me ASAP!
After the big Saturday conference, Cathy and I thought it would be nice to take our top referring members to a little thank you dinner at Edmunds Oast. It was just a way to say thanks to some of our members who are huge advocates for us, send lots of new members our way and have been with us since the beginning. I realize now that next year, we really need to do an ENTIRE attendee dinner to say thank you because all our members are truly amazing.
And one final amazing moment was announcing that SBS is now going NATIONAL early fall. We’ll have a big fancy website where all our regions can live under. New opportunities, original content, oh the list goes on. This is insanely exciting as we’ve been getting requests to do this sine day 1 and I’m so happy to finally say we are DOING IT. You can apply ahead of time by finding your region here and submitting your application.
