Fueling up on espresso everywhere we went. There’s something so much more delicious about the espresso’s in Paris. I say it’s the water!
The most delicious spread at a nearby café. Basically only ate meat, cheese and bread the entire trip.

You may remember my post or my Instastroies about how Delta failed to get my bag all the way to Paris. My bag wasn’t entirely lost, but man it was delayed by a little over 48 hours. When I travel overseas I usually wear the same thing (which you can read about here actually) which is just leggings, my laziest sports bra and a tee. You know those sports bras that really don’t do shit? Like they’re just they’re so that you’re not completely showing off to everyone? Yeah that one. Needless to say, I was a little uncomfortable and just wanted a real bra and my clothing after about 36 hours.
When I realized my luggage wasn’t getting to me for at least 24 hours (AirFrance made it seem like it would be within 24 hours….). As a result, I headed to GAP to grab anything and everything I could to make myself feel normal again. I picked up some new socks, a bra (that totally sucked you guys, make sure you buy THESE bras because they’re life-changing) and a few tops. Thankfully, I had a pair of jeans on me due to an overweight bag, so tops were all I needed. But then I saw this little striped dress and thought, well that will work so I can wash my damn jeans! It wasn’t ideal, but thankful for all my finds and a washing machine.
So, on Friday (48 hours into no luggage) I put on this dress, with that terrible bra, and waited at our apartment during my 6 hour time window for receiving my luggage. Once it arrived, I grabbed two things. My favorite Chantelle bra and red lipstick. Threw both of these on, put my dress back on and headed out to meet Lauren and Meghan for lunch. Honestly, all you need in life is a good bra and red lipstick to make yourself feel whole again. To be honest, I didn’t even bother with the clothing I packed or shoes because I was satisfied with these two simple little things that make everything better.

This day was particularly fun probably because I finally felt like myself again. First we went to a little cafe near by for a bite to eat. See that ridiculous spread? So good. Then we stopped for an espresso before heading back to the apartment to gather our things and do some exploring on the other side of town. This view of the Arc de Triomphe was on our way to lunch and lined with these gorgeous wisteria trees.
Later on, we then headed to the Shakespeare and Company bookstore, which is a famous stop along the left bank and a must visit. I picked up a gorgeous coffee table book before heading out to the Latin Quarter. This neighborhood is one of my favorites. Cobblestone streets are lined with shops and cafes as far as the eye can see. It’s also home to the best creperie, Au p’tit Grec. We then took cover as it started to downpour in a little cafe and ordered a bottle of rosé and a round of Aperol Spritz’s (my new favorite cocktail). Afterwards we visited The Little Red Door then headed to bed. All in all, it was the perfect day in Paris.
