Can I be honest? When Blair Edie of Atlantic Pacific launched her Halogen collaboration at Nordstrom I went down a deep dark hole of her archives. If you don’t know who she is, she’s one of the TOP bloggers who has the most incredible style. She dresses bright, colorfully and always is doing something wild and fun with her style. I saw she styled this J. Crew coat and I thought I just had to have it. I guess you can say I was influenced.
But truth be told, J. Crew never fails me when it comes to coats.
A Tweed Coat And Leopard Heels
I’ve had this puffer for YEARS and this grey parka from J.Crew that’s a staple for winter. While J.Crew was having one of their usual epic sales, I snagged this pretty green tweed coat. Do not, I repeat, do not buy this unless it’s on sale. I really don’t think it’s worth the $325 price tag. And since they have so many, sales, just wait a few days. I loved how bright and colorful this jacket felt but also still classic. My coat closet is just full of neutrals except for this cobalt blue coat. But personally, I hate wearing that coat with jeans, it just clashes. I so much prefer the combo of denim and this bright green. Moral of the story, J.Crew has great coats, and they last for YEARS.
But back to this green tweed beauty! The yellow and red bits throughout the tweed coat are giving me inspiration for styling it with other colors. Plus, it always goes with stripes. Doesn’t everything? And it clearly goes with leopard. Which by the way, if you’re in need of a leopard flat these may be my most adorable shoes in my closet. I’ll be honest, not the most comfortable, but maybe they just need to be broken in. Either way, they’re adorable and I love them. I’m not really a pointed-toe flat kinda gal, but give me leopard and a really fun and unique heel and I’m sold.
