Holiday parties are not only a great excuse to wear a fancy dress like this or this, but to also do something a little extra special with your hair. While brainstorming hairstyles for short hair, I thought a twisted look would be fun to try. This little twisted up do for short hair looks complicated, but it isn’t. Well let’s be honest, I didn’t really do it, Rachel did. But she says it’s easy. It’s basically 3 twists/knots all tucked under one another. You can do this on straight or curly hair, but make sure it’s a day or two old so that it will hold. If you’ve just washed you hair, be sure to add in some sea salt or texturing cream to get it a bit messy before getting started.
How To Do A Twisted Up Do For Short Hair
- Pull the top 1/4 of your hair into a half pony tail and twist and knot it. Place bobby pins around it to secure it in place.
- Grab the next section and twist your hair. Before you knot it/bobby pin it take your comb and roughen it up a bit by brushing into the knot. Bobby pin accordingly.
- Continue this step until all your hair is up.
- Pull some hair out from around your face and gently curl.
