I almost skipped this part of the day because I didn’t want to sit in traffic. Fact, always choose to visit a waterfall and splashing around in cold ass water over avoiding rush hour traffic. And yes, Maui has rush hour traffic. Who would’ve thought? They also have rubberneckers but not because of car accidents, because of whales breaching. AMAZING.
Why You Should Visit Twin Falls
Twin Falls was on my list and so many people recommend to stop by and see them. Due to the storms though, many of them were not accessible, so we only went to the first one. It wasn’t massive or anything, but it felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. The sound of the water was so relaxing and pleasant. I could’ve sat there all day.
How To Get to Twin Falls
Getting to Twin Falls from Paia Town is super easy. It’s off Hana Highway and is only about a 20 minute or so drive from Paia. You can also stop at Mama’s Fish House on the way if you’d like to grab lunch. It’s expensive but delicious and a beautiful location.
Once you park, be sure to hide all your valuables before heading into the hike. To get there was only about a 3-minute walk from the entrance. Then a very cautious stroll across a creek. I highly recommend bringing water shoes for this one, I just wore my hiking shoes which I’m so thankful I did. Before we headed into the park, we grabbed a fresh coconut at their fruit stand. It was a great way to hydrate since we spent most of the day out in the sun.
You can walk farther into Twin Falls to see more of the area and trails. But this is the main one that seems to be the most popular.
Best One Piece Swimsuits
When exploring waterfalls, I prefer to be in a one piece swimsuit which just makes it easier to get around and not worry about your top flying off when jumping into the water. Here are some of my favorite one piece swimsuits to try for your next warm weather vacation or getaway!
