As someone who leans towards more simple and casual pieces, finding a few unique and interesting items for my closet is something I should do more of. I love when a dress or top is one and done. They’re interesting and special and don’t require a lot of extra things. A statement piece, if you will.
I will say, I do love when a piece of clothing doesn’t require third pieces at all! Meaning these pieces don’t need a belt or a jacket to finish it off so it feels complete. And this dress I picked up from M.M.LaFleur is just that. And it got me thinking, I need a few more cool pieces in my closet.
While I’m probably still team ‘have more minimal easy pieces in your closet’, having a few standout cool and interesting items that you can rely on when you need a little fashion pick me up is kind of nice. Especially when they aren’t dressy pieces.
More everyday interesting, yet casual items you can wear every day is more satisfying than investing in that one nice little black dress you may wear to a few weddings over the years.
