There’s something about the change of season that gets me super excited. It’s not just about the clothes, it’s not about the cooler weather, what it’s really about, are the TV shows. You know I love me some TV, so when September and October roll around and all my favorite shows come back on, I get extremely happy. My weeknights are no longer filled with “what will I do tonight”, because I know what I’ll be doing. I’ll be on the couch, with Pork, watching TV and devouring delicious food. So today I thought I’d share some of my favorite recipes that are perfect for hosting a TV premier night with friends (or solo with a glass of wine, no judgements).
Some of the shows I’m looking forward to catching up on for fall premieres are Chicago Fire (I mean the men are gorgeous) and Jane The Virgin. Sometimes you’ll see me live tweeting my favorite shows, but let’s be honest. Chicago Fire has me all distracted by the good looking men fighting fires. So Twitter may take a back seat. Don’t judge me.
The only downfall to being addicted to such great shows is that sometimes I do have stuff to do at night (yes I have a social life, sort of) which means I have to make sure my DVR is set and ready to go to capture all the newest episodes so I can enjoy them whenever I want to (or wherever). If you have tons of shows you want to record, guess what. The X1 system can record up to five, yes five, shows at once. Another great feature of the Xfinity X1 system is that many of these shows (like 100 of them) are pre-loaded and ready to watch. So you may have forgotten to set your DVR, which I’m guilty of doing often, but not to worry. You can still watch so many of them in the On Demand library. So sit back, make some yummy snacks and get to fall premier heaven.
