I am notorious for being HOT in the middle of winter. As a kid when I was a figure skater, I would skate around the rink in little crop tops because I was so hot. Always. Nothing has changed. Constantly 10 degrees warmer than everyone else. So while you may all be enjoying a sweater right now, I’m enjoying a sweater tank. And yes, they’re the best. And honestly, the perfect fall piece for layering.
For fall, a blazer is a staple in my closet. And layering a chunky swaeter underneath it is not super flattering for me. and it just feels bulky too. And you guessed it, makes me hotter than I need to be. Insert the sweater tank. The genius solution to add that seasonal fabric to your look without adding the extra heat.
What Is A Sweater Tank?
Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like. It’s a tank top, but in a sweater material. Some may be thicker than others. While some may be more fitted or blousy. I personally prefer a more fitted one like this one from Abercrombie & Fitch. They’re just simply a sleeveless sweater! And truly the best fall layering piece.

How To Style A Sweater Tank
I think sweater tanks are just perfect for layering with your favorite fall layers. Treat it like you would a camisole. Since it adds zero bulk to your arms and shoulders, you can wear your favorite cardigans or blazers without all the stiffness in the arms or lumpy fabric on your sleeves. You know exactly what I’m talking about. Nothing is more annoying than trying to shove your arms into the sleeve of something and trying to get your sweater to lay oh so perfectly underneath it. Problem solved with a sweater tank.
