We’re officially in that cool in the morning, hot in the afternoon, weather. A few of my go to styling tricks for navigating those chilly spring days and confusing weather reports is to swap your jeans with a skirt. I feel like we’re not quite in shorts weather which just feels so summery. And I’m still not 100% ready to get rid of all of my sweaters considering the back and forth weather we’re having. So a little skirt is a great way to transition from season to season.
What To Wear On A Chilly Spring Day
One of my favorite looks to wear on a chilly spring day is mixing a little winter essential with new summer pieces. You can easily add in your new summer skirts and pair them with your favorite lighter fall sweaters. It’s an easy swap that I love to make. If I were wearing jeans with this I would a) be too hot, and b) would look like it was still fall or winter out.
Clearly, my favorite fall sweater was this baby blue one that I wore with everything. As in paired with these wide-leg jeans and with this fun yellow coat. But it now feels springy and fresh paired with a little floral mini skirt. When choosing a great sweater to wear this spring I’d choose one that’s definitely lighter in both color and weight. This baby blue one is a bit thicker, but the color is perfect. A few other great options are cotton sweaters, or even just your favorite long sleeve tees.

There are also so many great skirts out right now. Both mini and midis. They’ll help you transition all of those sweaters easily! Plus, wear them later when it’s warmer with a fun graphic tee or tank.
