Are you a concert person?
Although I’ve been to quite a few concerts and festivals like Coachella and Austin City Limits, you may be shocked to hear I’m not big on going to shows. I’m just not one to jump to buy tickets to go to them. I only went to Coachella so I could see Palm Springs and do a trip with friends. And the same goes for Austin City Limits. It was a city on my bucket list and a great excuse to go when half your friends want to see a festival there.
For me, I typically prefer to spend money on seeing a comedian. Laughing all night to me is way better than attempting to sing along to songs I know I don’t really know the words to. But I’ve definitely been to some great shows. I thrived in the late 90s early 2000’s and saw Britney Spears a bunch, Backstreet Boys and Janet Jackson to name a few.
My First Concert
But I’ll never forget the first concert I went to. I got tickets to the Christina Aguilera concert when I was 13 as a gift for my Bat Mitzvah. She was my favorite pop star at the time with Britney Spears as the runner up. And don’t get me started on Backstreet Boys, Brian was everything. But I’ll never forget that concert and how excited we were to see Christina Aguilera. Genie In A Bottle was an adolescent classic. I mean the orange pants and crop top outfit was GOALS from that video. I also had to do the zig-zag part in my hair too.
That concert was everything to me. I’d love to know what concert was your first?
