I’m noticing a trend in my closet lately. It isn’t a new thing at all. But I’ve definitely realized as I added these Sezane Le Crop denim to my closet that I 100% have a go to denim style. And it’s the wide leg cropped jean.
What’s Your Go To Denim Style
I have a variety of jeans. I mostly wear my favorite Madewell straight-leg jeans as you’ve seen here and here. But I have had a hard time finding similar ones that I love just as much. So I tend to accumulate a style that is easier to find and fit my body.
The wide-leg crop has really become a favorite of mine over the years. I love them so much that I wrote a blog post on how to style them when I got my first real pair back in 2017. Sadly, those black crops are no longer in my life and I miss them every day.
My Favorite Wide Leg Cropped Jeans
My closet is packed with this style. I have white pairs for spring and summer (although yes, you can 100% wear them in fall and winter). There are olive khaki pairs, washed black and of course, classic denim in any and every wash imaginable.
This silhouette is my go-to when I don’t know what to wear. Just add a tee or tank, and a sandal or sneakers. It really is that simple. Sure you can dress them up too. I do that all the time! These truly are my favorite silhouette of jeans to invest in.
Sezane Le Crop Jeans Review
The newest addition to my ever-growing wide-leg cropped jeans are these Sezane Le Crop jeans. They are 100% cotton so they are going to be snug before they mold to your body.
Sezane sizing for me always runs small. You can check out my full sizing review of Sezane here. And when it comes to denim, I always size up. I took a French size 38, which is a US size 6. They are SNUG on me. I’m hoping they give a little more but the 40, size 8, was just a bit too big.
How I Styled The Le Crop Jeans For Summer
Since this silhouette is wider at the bottom, I always like to pair it with something more fitted on top. And my obsession with crop tops continues. Picked up this eyelet-style one from Madewell and it shows just a sliver of skin. Just how I like my crop tops in my 30s.
I finished the look with these Larroudé Margherita block sandals. They are so freaking cute with the little floral laser-cut detailing. You can read more about the Larroudé brand here as I have been loving their shoes!

A Behind The Scenese NYC Blooper Shot
I can’t share this look without a little behind the scenes. I wanted a fun shoe shot of these sandals and the only way to do it was to get on the ground. Bloggers do really weird things to get the perfect shot. But it’s always worth it.
