OAK Leather Jacket • DL 1961 Jeans (here’s a dressed up way to wear these) • Abercrombie & Fitch Tee • Converse • Welden Bag (loving this new cross body one)
Yesterday I shared a little bit about Union Station in Denver. There’s several great restaurants inside and Janelle and I decided to hit up Mercantile. There’s so many options on where to eat in Union Station but this spot looked delicious and was so charming on the inside. Great sandwiches, salads and obviously beer on tap. For a city that’s very granola, I thought it was only fitting to try the salad that had granola on top. I never thought to put this breakfast snack on a salad, and was a little hesitant. But I was trying to eat a little healthy, besides the beer obviously. When Janelle’s short rib sandwich and potato chips arrived I had instant order envy. However, when I took one bite of my healthy salad, I was perfectly satisfied. It was so delicious and filling.
Now onto this black and grey outfit uniform of mine. Jeans, tee, leather jacket and this Free People scarf. Thinking it would be freezing at night, the dry weather made it feel so much warmer. If you’re heading to Denver, I recommend lots of light layers. They were key to adjusting to the weather and going from hot in the sun, to cool in the shade.
Also, you may have noticed lately that I’ve been wearing my Converse more and more. I used to be all about the Adidas, but lately it’s been all about the chucks. Ever since I loosened up the laces this summer, I’ve been wearing them non stop. I may need to get another pair because these are filthy even after washing them. I wore these all over Denver walking from brewery to brewery and had no issues with blisters. Converse just make me feel a little edgier or cooler I think. Maybe it’s because rock stars wear them a lot, or the hipster skater kids, either way, I’m now a fan. So maybe I’m cooler? Maybe.
