I think it was over the summer that I discovered the amazingness of white nail polish. Usually, I’m the one who wears black, dark burgundy (Lincoln Park After Dark anyone?), and many times classic cherry red. I rarely venture away from these three colors.
But white, when done well, can be so crisp and fresh. It also looks so good against a summer tan and sun kissed skin. After discovering my love for this color, I decided to search for more white nail polish ideas that were fun and fresh. Instead of a classic simple white manicure, here are a few exciting nail designs to try.
White Nail Polish Manicure Ideas
I personally love the idea of a little angled action (bottom left) or the half moon (can someone please show me how to do this at home?!). Trying out different angles, stripes, and dots, are a really fun way to spruce up a manicure. They aren’t super complicated to do, and you can definitely ask your nail technician to try these out.
5 Best White Nail Polishes
If you’re thinking about a simple classic white manicure at home, here are a few of my favorite white nail polishes to try. From bright whites to softer off white options, these are some of the best selling white nail polishes to try.
PS don’t forget to use my favorite base coat and top coat for a long lasting chip free manicure!
Olive & June – HD
For a crisp white polish that has a touch of softness to it, try Olive & June’s white in shade, HD.
Essie – Blanc
A snowy white nail polish with a cream finish. I love my essie polishes. They seem to stay on well and are easy to do at home manicures with.
Sally Hansen – Get Mod
A bright white nail polish in one of my favorite formulas. This is a 2-step miracle gel process with a topcoat that goes with it to seal it in for a long lasting manicure.
Sally Hansen – Ski Bunny
For a more off white that doesn’t feel so harsh, try Sally Hansen’s Ski Bunny. It’s softer, off white, and will still give you that white manicure vibe without it being too bright like white out.
OPI – Funny Bunny
This is one of the top selling white nail polishes. It’s a soft white and looks great on everyone. Another good option from OPI for a more bright white, is Alpine Snow.
Since I’m a nail polish fanatic, I’ve got a few favorites that I love. See why these colors and this brand is my all time favorite here.
