I feel like over time I’ve been slowly changing any dark furniture in my home to something more modern and white. Recently I tossed my old media stand which was the last piece of college furniture I had and swapped it out for a white sleek media stand. It was a super affordable update that made a huge difference in my living space. Plus, it’s on wheels so I can easily push it out of the way to use the big gray wall for a backdrop (blogger problems, right?).
White Tulip Dining Tables
The one piece of furniture I’ve been giving the stink eye to lately is my dining room table. I LOVE the style and look of it, but it’s that dark wood and reminds me of exactly what I’m trying to not decorate with. Insert simple, sleek white tulip dining table. I’m thinking this would be a great update to my entire space. But then I’d need new chairs too. So we’ll just obsess over these spaces instead until I decide a whole new dining set is completely justified. Because let’s be honest, this is already quickly becoming a slippery slope.
Either way, I feel like you can’t go wrong with the classic mid-century modern tulip table. Whether you go all in for a dining table, or just choose an end table, they’re truly an iconic piece for the home. You can also mix and match them with more contemporary items or traditional pieces. I like them paired with a totally different style chair to mix it up. While it may feel very much mid-century, you can swap the chairs for so many different styles and colors! This table is truly a blank slate and you can do so much with it.
